VIDEO GAMES
Josh holds a Master's Degree in Writing for Script & Screen from Falmouth University, UK (2019), earning first class honours for his project in writing for video games.
He also completed the Game Writing Bootcamp from Game Design Skills (led by industry veteran Kelly Bender) in 2025, and has written and narrative designed for a variety of video game projects, including his own original piece 'The Abovelands and Below' and other currently-unreleased titles at Indie studios.

Josh is a lifelong video game enthusiast. He "caught them all" in 'Pokémon X', penned a 5000-word essay on narrative form on 'The Last of Us (Part One)', and is an off-the-clock games production enthusiast, frequenting developer diaries, GDC presentations. and more.

PROJECTS:
THE ABOVELANDS AND BELOW
Josh acted as the narrative designer, story lead, and script writer
for the concept project 'The Abovelands and Below', a fantasy action-adventure video game about unlocking truths, betraying expectations, and preventing an inevitable demise.

PAX PANDEMONIUM
From October 2025 onwards, Josh worked for New Age Mythos' upcoming project: 'Pax Pandemonium', a dark tale imbued with magic, adventure and strife, richly seeped in mythological influence.

LEILANI & KEKOA
Written from its inception as a children's seafaring fantasy platformer videogame, 'Leilani and Kekoa' tells of a protagonist thrust into adventure with a sidekick seal pup across the Eight Seas to quell the terrifying dragon Faroshus. The text draws closely from Hawaiian mythology and existing video game texts.
